HORSE INTERCHANGE

from the Ward 6 newsletter http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Government/Ward6.htm

The Horse Interchange design plans are approximately 99 percent complete. The consultant is working on the final submittal. The construction of the interchange will start the first quarter of 2008. The project is expected to take two years with completion in the first quarter 2010.

Major items being addressed now are completion of right of way acquisition, finalization of the cooperative agreement with NDOT and utility relocations. This project is contingent on NDOT's U.S. 95 North environmental document. The finalization of this process has been delayed slightly. It is now expected that the Federal Highway Administration will allow this project to move forward in January.

This is a $60 million full single point urban interchange and includes realigned frontage roads, signals and significant regional drainage improvements. Funding will be through the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, the Clark County Regional Flood Control District, federal Safety-Lu, and City Sanitation funds.
