Park Improvements
We are currently considering improvements to the main park in the community. Such possibilities include BBQs, more covered areas, and better playground equipment. Send your suggestions to BOD @ elkridgehoa.com or click comments and leave us a comment.

Do you have anything in writing from Avante that states what Avante will provide in the park? If so, please forward it to our management company (Taylor Association) and we can pursue it with Avante. After Avante sold a certain percent of homes, the HOA was turned over to the homeowners and Avante will no longer fund any improvements to the community.
With that said, the board is currently evaluating different options for the park and I hope we can present a few different options at the next homeowners meeting in October for comments. I'll make sure they are posted on the website as well. I have noted your request for swings and slides.
While we do pay a substantial amount of money to the HOA, most of it is used to maintain the community, not for improvements. Since we are a gated community, we have to pay to resurface the streets, have street sweeping service, and landscaping maintenance of the park, including water, among other things.
There will be a Board of Directors meeting in September at which you can review the financials for the community and see exactly where all of the money is going. (Incidently, the Board of Directors is a volunteer position for which there is no compensation, so you won't see it listed there.) Notices for the meeting, include exact date/time and location will be sent out in early September.
You are also entitled to contact Taylor Association and get a copy of the financials.
