Tahoe A/C
This isn't exaclty an HOA related posting, but it is community related.
Is anyone else have problems with their A/C?
I personally have the 2773 sq ft Tahoe model and I know at least 1 neighbor that is having the same problem as I am. The A/C upstairs won't cool the house down below the low 80's. I've had the A/C contractor out to my home a couple of times for the problem and the first time they freon in the compressor was low, but the second time they said the A/C was fully functioning.
Avante's rep has told me that our warranty only states that the A/C will cool the house 15 degrees below the outside temperature, which seems ridiculous, so now I have to find the warranty paperwork and verify that.

WE ARE ALSO HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE A/C. UPSTAIRS DOES NOT EVEN COOL DOWN AT ALL. THE A/C HAS BEEN WORKED ON ONCE ALREADY BUT, THE A/C UPSTAIRS DOES NOT SEEM TO COOL THE HOUSE DOWN ONE BIT. I LIVE IN THE TIOGA MODEL.
Valley AC called today and told me they would be repacing the compressor for the upstairs on Wednesday because it was the incorrect size.
I also Had Problems with the upstairs AC. Avante tried to save a few bucks and put too small of a unit upstairs. I am in the process of seeking legal Counsel beacuse if Avante gave us too small of a unit then they should at least be responsable for the utilty bill over the last year. I will keep you informed on this issue.
We have been in our house for a year now and have had nothing but problems with our upstairs ac.It started on the day we moved in and has continued since.Last summer after numerous visits by the ac company they changed the unit in the attic and said it was defective that fixed the probem temporariy but by the time they did that the summer was over.This summer we were having the same problem again this time they told us the wrong size unit had been installed outside so they replaced that,now we are having a problem with our master bedroom cooling.I agree with the idea of legal counsel if they can not get our air right this time we are doing the same
